Burbrook Forest as a wedding venue would not look out of place in a Harry Potter film. It’s mystical ambiance coupled with the curiously grown gum trees amongst the straight pine trees make for a unique backdrop to any wedding ceremony. The main old gum where most wedding take place is known as the ‘wedding tree’ and is the perfect backdrop for rustic, boho weddings.
It’s often the case that couples will choose to have their wedding ceremony at Burbrook Forest, and then hold their reception at the nearby Kuitpo Hall. The two venues compiment each other perfectly being only a short distance away from one another and also sharing the same sort of aesthetic.
Photography wise the straight pine trees, coupled with the gnarly branches of the famed wedding tree make for an incredible juxtaposition allowing for both moody, dark styled wedding photos or light and airy depending on the style of your photographer.
