Glenelg Golf Club

The Glenelg Golf Club has been on the list of best wedding venues in Adelaide for quite a while, due in no small part for their constant efforts in keeping up to date with the wedding industry by winning awards in the national ABIA wedding awards and having possibly the best wedding MC and DJ in the state on lockdown.

The Golf course boasts a lovely little grassy area located a short walk away from the front doors of the proshop and club house where ceremonies are usually held. There are two usual set ups, one with some trees as the backdrop, while another has an open view of the sky and some of the course in the background.

As a backup, ceremonies can be moved inside in case of bad weather which is a huge plus when considering what would usually be a predominantly outdoor wedding venue.

Photo opportunities are restricted to areas where golfers do not venture as the venue is first and foremost a golf club, and a wedding venue second. That being said though, there are some fairways and lovely trees available for photography that isn’t impossible to use if you time it right. The money shot though are the photographs you can capture around the small water hazards.

Alternatively you are able to head off site a little to nearby photo locations such as the nearby beaches, or the parklands nearby the city center.

The Glenelg Gold Club’s reception center is suitable for medium to large wedding receptions and has a rather modern vibe, being lined with windows all around and a large outdoor covered verandah area.
