The Rendezvous Experience is a dedicated wedding ceremony and reception venue with years of focused experience under its belt. Claiming to have ‘one of the best gardens for weddings in Adelaide Hills and South Australia,’ everything has been built and manicured specifically with hosting weddings in mind. Scenes for photo opportunities have been well thought out here, incorporating features such as white rotundas, waterfalls, views of the Adelaide Plains and coastline beyond, roses, date palms, a wedding arbor, a swing, a fountain, an old horse drawn wagon… just to name a few.
The Rendezvous Experience will never book two weddings on the same day, so you can be assured the staff’s undivided attention – and the entirety of the grounds – will be yours alone. Four comprehensive packages are offered, all with access to an extensive drinks list:
Option 1 – Wedding Ceremony Only
This package is for ceremonies held outdoors in the garden for up to 200 people. A time allocation of 3-4 hours is allowed, with exclusive use of the rotunda, pond, waterfall and fountain. A decorated signing table along with two chairs with covers and sashes is included, as well as a red carpet, fifty plastic chairs, background music, wait staff to serve drinks, rose petals or bubbles, and a one hour allocation for a wedding ceremony rehearsal. Full set up and clean up is included in all packages.
Option 2 – Wedding Ceremony Plus Finger Food
Option 2 is similar to Option 1 but allows for a timeframe of 4-5 hours, and includes finger food set up on three small tables or one long table. It also adds cake cutting and service on a platter with a side of tea and coffee. 1.5 hours is allowed for the wedding ceremony rehearsal.
Option 3 – Cocktail Style Reception With DJ Indoors
A cocktail style event is designed for most of the guests to remain standing and mingling, although fifty dining chairs and seven small tables with covers and sashes are included for when they need a rest. An in-house DJ and sound system includes a cordless microphone for MC’s to roam around and entertain the party. Mirror balls, coloured lighting and fairy lights are part of the package to create a fun atmosphere. A wishing well, cake table and gift table can be decorated how you see fit, and a bridal table can be included if desired. Option 3 allows the bride and groom to have a two hour meeting two months prior to the wedding to visualise and finalise decisions. An additional one hour appointment for final touches can occur the day before the event.
Option 4 – Full Sit Down Style Reception
This traditional style of seated wedding reception can host up to 100 guests. Tables all come with decorations and table runners plus a choice of table centres. Menus can be chosen from a list of approved caterers, which can be found on The Rendezvous Experience’s website. A car park attendant can help direct arriving guests to the fully air conditioned and heated reception area.
Located in One Tree Hill, 40 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, The Rendezvous Experience feels like a country escape without being too far out of the way. The venue is tucked away and secluded enough to provide an atmosphere of privacy and exclusivity, even though the grounds and gardens are sprawling and spacious. There are accommodation options in nearby suburbs, and wineries such as Uleybury Vineyards and Wines, Bibaringa Vineyards and Tenafeate Creek Wines within ten minutes’ drive.
