In 1866, the Adelaide Botanic Garden bought the land for the park. On Sundays beginning in 1890, there was a spirited public debate at Speaker’s Corner. This earned Botanic Park a reputation as Adelaide’s kind of Hyde Park – London’s famed site of free expression.

Wittunga’s displays of Australian and African flora, which include extensive collections of Erica, Leucadendron, and Protea, are awe-inspiring in the spring. A lovely setting for your big day.
