Calabria Family Wines is a family-owned winery established in 1945, offering tastings, functions & tours. Its founders are Francesco and Elisabetta Calabria. When it began, the company was ‘Calabria Wines & Sons‘ and supplied homemade wines to family and friends. Since then, it has continued to grow.
Calabria Family Wines owns 45 hectares of estate vineyards spread across three locations in the Barossa Valley. Each vineyard has a unique story to tell, but the crown jewel is its 100-year-old ‘William‘ vineyard.
The winery’s heritage bluestone villa, built in 1899 and nestled among the vines, is steeped in Barossa family history. This structure now houses the modern Calabria Tasting Room and the Harvest Kitchen restaurant.
The restaurant’s philosophy is based on four key components: flavour, family warmth, honesty, and generosity, while also highlighting the Calabria family’s incredible heritage.
The Calabria Family wines and on-site restaurant, Harvest Kitchen, are situated on top of the rolling hills of the Barossa, providing stunning views and an ideal setting for a wedding.
The tasting room for Calabria Family Wines is located next to the restaurant. This means your guests will have access to their fantastic wine selection.
Harvest Kitchen, with its large open-air dining deck, paved patio, and grass lawn areas, offers couples a variety of options to suit their needs. The restaurant also provides a space to enjoy the best this region offers in food, produce, wine, and landscape.

Harvest Kitchen Restaurant is one of the most wanted dining outlooks in the region. But to make sure they are the right fit for you, feel free to stroll into the restaurant and enjoy a plate of Hutton Vale lamb, pulled pork empanadas or a Calabria family favourite, classic fried chicken.
While eating, take in the sweeping views of the vines and the fantastic sunsets.
The team at Harvest Kitchen will happily assist you in selecting just the right wines to suit your wedding occasion, taste and budget. You can also pick or choose from a range of local beers, ciders, juice, and soft drink options.
The Calabria Riverina Cellar Door is a modern addition to reflect the fantastic stories of the Calabria Wines. A large grassy area is close to the cellar door, ideal for lawn games or holding a wedding ceremony with the rolling hills as a backdrop. In contrast, the reception area is modern, surrounded by wall-to-wall windows to take in the view.
The reception area is suitable for small and medium-sized weddings. If you are having a formal party, the reception venue can only take 80 people, and 100 people if you are having a cocktail party. However, the vineyards are a wonderful backdrop for your event – and they come out great in pictures.
