Mollydooker Wines

The origins of Mollydooker Wines begin with a love story. In 1991, Sarah and Sparky Marquis had recently married on the heels of finishing their winemaking studies with the world at their feet.
They had each other, $1000 between them and hopes of developing their own business. They wanted to excel in a field they were both enthusiastic about, help others when feasible, and always have fun.

Beginning as winemakers for Sarah’s parents at Fox Creek in 1994, they quickly created and implemented their Marquis Vineyard Watering Programme in the vineyards, which yielded the excellent grapes used to manufacture their award-winning wines.

Over the next few years, they moved from strength to strength, winning three Bushing King and Queen Trophies for Best Wine in Show and being named Australian Boutique Winemakers of the Year and Australian White Winemakers of the Year.

Mollydooker Wines, founded in 2006, is an adventurous, out-of-the-box winery in the heart of McLaren Vale, one of South Australia’s oldest and most famous wine areas.

Mollydooker Wines is a boutique cellar door set on top of a hill in the world-famous Mclaren Vale wine district.

Mollydooker, located within a 40-minute drive from Adelaide CBD, serves a variety of award-winning wines and platters made with local and international ingredients, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding Willunga hills from their freshly remodelled cellar door.

Mollydooker Wines is now much more than a winery. The primary goal of the winery was to have fun while also helping others; therefore, starting in 2009, the winery produced “drink it forward-wines,” which means that the cost of particular wines or the procedures around them goes to various projects to support multiple communities in need.

Mollydooker Wines has it all as a wedding venue! Extensive, well-kept lawns for wedding ceremonies, with a backdrop of either vineyards or the rolling Mclaren Vale hills, or a backup alternative within the reception site itself if necessary.

The space is perfect for photography with gum trees, rows of fruit trees, vintage automobiles, and rolling green grassed hills and vineyards. For photos, you can make use of the Mollydooker Wines grounds. The Mollydooker Wines grounds are available for photography. The vineyard provides an ideal framing with its enormous, broad grape leaves and unkempt greenery.

If you need a unique event venue with breathtaking views, the Wine Room is an excellent option for you. The wedding reception area at Mollydooker Wines is a modern venue with a rustic vibe thanks to its wooden accents and surrounding windows that look out over the winery’s grounds.
