Stockade Botanic Park

From $500 To $3000

The Stockade Botanic Park (also known as Stockade Park and Stockade Botanical Park) is a Northfield public park, North of Adelaide. It used to be connected with a jail quarry, but it has since been rebuilt with water features, an amphitheatre, and picnic spots.

The Stockade Botanic Park is home to over 200 species of plants and animals, including kangaroos, koalas, wombats, echidnas, platypi, wallabies, possums, birds, reptiles and fish. It’s also home to the world’s most extensive collection of Australian native orchids.

The park has won many recognitions and awards, including being named one of the top ten gardens in the world by The New York Times Magazine.

The best part about this venue is that you can hold your wedding ceremony and reception here due to how well-kept the open space is.

The park is famous for weddings and wedding photography since it has a lake, water features, an amphitheatre, barbecues, picnic spots, and bathrooms. Stockade Botanic Park also includes a sensory garden where vision-impaired people and others can enjoy nature.

The park is part of the Dry Creek River Walking Trail, which runs for 14 kilometres (8.7 miles).

The parks, named after a nearby small enclosure that has fallen into bad shape, were established to fill a very unsightly unused rock quarry for the surrounding population. The park features various public art projects and a beautiful green background for weddings.

The Stockade Botanic Park is a popular wedding venue for two reasons.
For starters, it’s easy to locate since it is situated in Adelaide’s inner north (on Howard Ave, Northfield, not far from the Bridgeway Hotel).
Second, it has two stunning locations to pick from, which would provide an excellent background for any wedding; the waterfall and the gazebo.

The Stockade Botanic Park features a big man-made waterfall that cascades into a small pool at the park’s base.

In front of the waterfall are some magnificent tiny gardens that are ideal for obtaining some fantastic photographs!

If your wedding falls on a rainy day, you have the gazebo to fall back to.

The gazebo overlooks two vast lawns and is preceded by a standard-rose-lined brick approach or the waterfall, which adds a delightful natural focal point.

Whichever venue you choose, Stockade Botanic Park is likely to appeal to you. It’s an easy place to have your wedding.

For your reception, you can use any of the hotels or reception venues close to Stockade park.
