The Willunga Peacock Farm is a hidden gem within the town of Willunga, formerly a farmhouse the reception venue on site has been converted into a nifty, rustic undercover – but still open air venue for weddings, live performances and also functions as a restaurant. The rear of the old farmhouse looks out over a pond and a lush green garden area, suitable for intimate and private wedding ceremonies and receptions. The venue also offers an on-site bed and breakfast cottage, in a similar rustic style to the rest of the venue.
The Willunga Peacock Farm is named for its wandering peacocks that make for a magnificent addition as a backdrop to a wedding ceremony when they are around, and are quite happy to wander about looking gorgeous. Generally wedding ceremonies are held out on one of two grassy areas for people to congregate, one overlooking the pond, while another is framed by an old, inoperable carriage.
Photo opportunities are abound within the Farm, as the pond is flanked by beautifully lush, and old overgrowning creepers that have climbed up and around the gum trees – it makes for a beautifully ethereal feel to the whole setting.
